Caregivers’ Ministry

“Come to me, all of you that are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” ~Matthew 11:28

The role of a caregiver encompasses many emotions and challenges. There are periods of compassion, love, elation, but also sorrow, frustration and pain. The duties of a caregiver at times can be overwhelming.

This quote from Matthew hits home because Jesus is saying he will be there for those who reach out to him. What a wonderful message of hope to lift the spirits for caregivers who often carry heavy burdens.

Are you caring for someone you love? This ministry shares the journey of caregiving via supportive conversation with current and former caregivers in an informal, non-judgmental atmosphere. We share ideas, practical suggestions, and solutions for caregiving issues as well as the emotional impact of caregiving.

We meet six times during the year–evening gatherings are at St. Charles Borromeo and lunchtime meetings are held at local restaurants. Dates and locations will be posted on the church’s website calendar.
