As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.  And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” ~Matthew 3:16-17

The sacrament of Baptism is a time of great joy! Individuals and families from the Seton/Elizabeth Ministry, Purling Angels, and Men’s Outreach Ministry greet the Baptismal family prior to Mass with prayer and a presentation of a hand-knitted blanket. During the Mass, the ministers serve as representatives of the St. Charles Community to accept and welcome the child.
